All personal information shared during counselling is treated with strict confidence. This includes session content, contact details, and any written or digital correspondence.

When Confidentiality May Be Limited

There are rare circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken:

  • If there is a serious risk of harm to you or others
  • In cases involving safeguarding concerns (e.g. child protection)
  • When required by law or court order
  • In such instances, we will always aim to discuss this with you first, unless doing so would increase risk.

Supervision and Professional Practice

To ensure the quality and safety of our work, counsellors engage in regular supervision. Any discussion of client work is anonymised and handled with the same level of confidentiality
